Welcome to Raandesk Kids, a new program for children ages 3-10, brought to you by one of the city's most innovative art galleries.
Bring your kids to Raandesk's exhibit space in Chelsea for a morning of hands-on fun and exploration. Each month, one of the gallery's featured artists will introduce her favorite materials to the kids and talk about their qualities, from color and texture to where they see the materials everyday and how they are used. Then, it's the kids' time to explore and make their own art to take home. Parents are welcome to make art, too, or get a tour of the gallery's newest collection by Jessica L. Porter, the gallery's founder and director.
Raandesk Kids is a great way for families to spend a morning. The program will take place at the gallery at 16 W. 23rd Street, 4th Floor. A nut-free snack will be provided. The cost is $25/child or $20/child for two or more kids in a family. To ensure a quality experience for all students, there is an enrollment limit for each class.
